Building the Pipeline
Our story
We founded PWR Racing to change the landscape of women's bike racing, and that starts with how we support our athletes.

DUAL TIER SYSTEM
A Balanced Team Structure
Recognizing the lack of clear developmental pathways in women's cycling, we designed a recruitment process that focuses on values first, then skill, leading to our unique dual-tier system. By establishing the Catalyst and Conduit tiers, we have built an ecosystem that meets riders where they are—providing the mentorship, resources, and community needed for women to thrive at every stage.
The story of PWR Racing didn't begin on a podium—it began with a moment of quiet crisis and a profound realization.
After stepping away from managing her previous team, our Founder, Rema Morgan-Aluko, felt a deep, wrenching loss. She faced the question: Am I done? Should I walk away from racing entirely?
But what truly draws her to the race course is not the result, but the process of transformation. It is chasing that singular, critical moment when women look at a devastatingly hard challenge—one they believe they cannot conquer—and then, through sheer will and repetition, a spark ignites. Belief shifts, the impossible becomes possible, and the inner power is unlocked.
That inner power is the reason for this team. PWR (pronounced "POWER") is an acronym for Passion, Work, Respect, and it defines our mission: To channel that inner power into a visible, competitive force.
It Started with a Vision.

MEET THE FOUNDERS
For Women, Led by Women
The team is the realization of this shared purpose, founded by two Black women leaders: Rema Morgan-Aluko and Dr. Ayodele “Dele” Gomih.
Why focus exclusively on women? Because the need is urgent, and the time is now. The market is trending toward us, and the emotional investment is high. Women have always supported our vision, had our backs, and now it is finally our time to build a platform that returns that support and commitment.

We are here to prove that a racing team can be a catalyst for confidence, community, and change.

"When she discovers her power on the bike, she becomes unstoppable in life. We are here to prove that a racing team can be a catalyst for confidence, community, and change."
PWR Values
"Rooted in our namesake—Passion, Work, and Respect—these values are the non-negotiable standards that shape our culture. They are the shared language that unites our Catalysts and Conduits as one squad."

Respect is the foundation of any strong team. It is about more than just being polite. It means showing mutual respect for every team member, from the fastest rider to the newest beginner. It extends to respecting competitors, race officials, and everyone encountered on the road.
Respect
Integrity is about doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. For the team, this means being honest in all actions—from accurately reporting race results to upholding the rules of the sport. The team holds itself to the highest ethical standards; your word is your bond.
Integrity
Cycling is for everyone. The team is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels they belong, regardless of their background, ability, or goals. You celebrate differences and believe a diverse team makes you stronger.
Inclusivity
Accountability means taking ownership of actions and responsibilities. As individuals, racers are accountable for their training, conduct, and contribution. As a team, members hold each other accountable in a supportive way to stay on track with goals.
Accountability
Perseverance is the grit that gets the team through tough times. It is the refusal to give up, whether climbing a seemingly endless hill or recovering from an injury. Challenges are embraced as opportunities to grow.
Perseverance
Cycling can be a solitary sport, but the team is a family. PWR is a strong and supportive community, both on and off the bike. This includes teammates, families, sponsors, and the broader cycling community. You give back by volunteering, mentoring, or being a positive presence.
Community
Discipline is the commitment to goals. It is the consistent effort put in day after day. It is about making smart choices for training, nutrition, and rest. Discipline is the bridge between goals and achievements—the quiet work that happens when no one is watching.
Discipline
Effective communication is vital for safety, strategy, and team cohesion. Interactions should be clear, honest, and respectful. Active listening ensures every voice is heard and valued.
Communication
Transparency means being open and honest with each other. From team finances to the decision-making process, the team operates with clarity. Trust is built through openness about intentions and actions.
Transparency
Courage is about facing challenges head-on, both on the bike and in life. It is the courage to push limits, try a new race course, upgrade to a higher category, or speak up when something isn't right.
